Basically, i was training Proto Man, when i noticed that Heat Man did a Defense Burn. I was in Wily Stage IV, so flame attacks had 2.0x boost. My Proto Man had 3412 defense, so it should have removed 1024, the 30%, but instead, it removed 300, as if I had 999 defense. I later decided to try an Attack Blaze, and it also added 100 instead of the 10%. Thus, boost abilities, break abilities and maybe some more internal things, still obey the old 999 stat cap.
EDIT: oops, got the colors wrong, quite forgot how to use them...
Adrian Edit on 2019/01/31 - With all the changes to how stats and boosts/breaks work over the years this bug is no longer relevant or possible. Locking the thread now.
Boost/Break abilities still have the 999 cap internally Posted by Shadownnico on July 26th, 2013 at 1:36pm Viewed 670 Times
I know they remove part of my stats, the problem is that they are working with the old 999 stats cap, thus dealing set amounts to robots with more that 1000 in a stat. IE: Use attack break on a robot with 100 attack: removes 15% correctly (15 attack points). Use it on a robot with 999 attack: removes 15% correctly (150 attack points). Use it on a robot with 9999 attack: doesn't remove 15%, removes 150 attack points instead of 1500 (15% of 9999).
