Please use this thread for any feedback or suggestions regarding the database, community, gallery, leaderboard, or any other pages on this website and let me know what you all think. I'm more than open to constructive criticism and have added plenty of suggestions to the website in the past, so don't be afraid to post.
If you believe the topic or suggestion is large enough to warrant it's own thread, you are free to do so at your own discretion. I look forward to everyone's input! :D
Sometimes, when I'm posting a time-consuming post, it won't post because the website logged me off and I'll lose everything I just typed. Could there be a "Remember me" feature or just remove the automatic logout altogether?
@TheDoc : ...To be honest, really, it's kind of your fault for not paying attention to the time. I've been on other websites besides this one where it sometimes times you out if you haven't posted anything in 20-30 minutes. Copy and paste your text onto a text file, or just make sure you copied your post. Try to post, and if it fails, just log back in and paste the text you just copied, and presto, you can successfully post this time. Try to remember that for next time and you won't have to retype your thoughts.
@TailsMK4 : Heh. While that is kind of his fault in a way, when you're working on a super-long post and you finally get it done.....You sometimes forget about that limit. I speak from experience.
@TailsMK4 : I have learned since then to copy my long post to see if it timed me out, in which case I log back in and simply paste my post, so honestly I can live with it. However, there are also forums that don't time you out and allow you to stay logged in not for just one session, but also automatically logs you in every time you visit. I think that's a feature that would really be convenient for regulars to this forum and would be a great addition overall.
New suggestion: could you make it so that we can navigate through pages at the bottom as well as the top? It can be a pain to read to the end of a page, then have to scroll all the way back up to switch the page, rinse and repeat.

It's been quite a while since anything's been posted here(a solid two months 0_0)! Something that would really make my day(it's a pun) would be some sort of a chorological posting log! With this, it'd show the posts posted by day, even if you've already seen it. I'm suggesting this because there's quite a few things I want to respond to today, but it's a bit hard to track it all down. Heck, it doesn't even have to span back far, as long as there's something that says "View all posts posted today", I'd be fine. Of course, if it would span back even further, I certainly wouldn't object :)
I've done this on the news thread, But i Want to Get more Detailed. So, I'm putting a possible requirement thing, and there's 4 Ranks. Pellet-Capsule-E-tank-Yashichi. Pellet Requirements: Be a good person overall and try to Help a lot of people? Capsule Requirement: Help In A Really Great way, Possibly Contribute Sprites... Tank Requirement: Get Good enough to be Like a MBM Or a Mikey (And i mean Specifically Those 2), and help out in A NUMBER of great ways. Yashichi: Only Adrian has this, and It's almost Impossible to get, Unless you start coding in a useful way?
Experience: I was thinking about an Experience Bar thing for it. You gain exp for doing good things. Pellet you need 500 EXP, Capsule you Need 2,000 EXP, Tank is 5,000, and Yashichi As mentioned, basically nearly Impossible... IDK.
@MetaKirbSter : Like I said in chat, it's possible but you're making too many tiers without any basis. The requirements posted are very vague, and the experience bar is basically making a game out of it. The ranking system is made to recognize those who have contributed/have been chosen to contribute to MMRPG more so than the average member, not to act as an out-of-game achievement system.
Depending on how Adrian opens positions up, more and more recognition is definitely an option, but not currently imo.
I feel like this idea has been bounced around before, but I'll repeat it in this thread just to let the record show it: Can there be something implemented in the forum so that you don't have to actually view the threads to get rid of the "new post" notifications?
Couple of possible ways to do this: 1.) You could have the old-fashioned "Mark Forums Read" instead of navigating to each individual category. 2.) A while back, MBM suggested some sort of subscription mechanic where you'll only be notified of updates in threads you've subscribed to (and brand-new threads as well). Harder to implement, but gives the user more control over his/her forum experience.
I'd really like it if there was a setting in your profile to not show deleted posts in a community thread, while I do understand the reasoning behind it for its use to show a hole in the conversation, if you're just casually reading a thread they break the flow of the conversation and only serve to be empty space.
Suggestion: (if it is already addressed, sorry. Just came back.) - Please include stat boost caps in the web database display for each playable RM. That way, players will be aware of their "training progress."
I'd love it if you could "note" threads, it's a bit of a weird concept but stick with me, here. Overall, there's been plenty of times that I've completely forgotten about a thread, even if I have an obligation to it, and as such I've completely forgotten to post whatever I need to do. See, since new posts can only be read once, I've had times where I looked through a thread, went "hey I should do that later", but since the new posts don't show up afterwards and I don't have the time at the moment I read it, I end up with the aforementioned situation. It'd be a small visual edit that could show up next to "Check New Posts", maybe labeled "Checked Noted Threads", and clicking it will take you to any threads that you've noted. However, since I'm clearly taking this into an Administrator perspective of "I need to check what I need to check and I can't afford to forget", I do understand that if it's entirely different for regular users and I'm not sure if it'd be useful for everyone.
Or, you know, you can also offer the counterpoint that an user shouldn't forget about it in the first place, that too.
I'd be interested in having a button that deletes private messages. It would certainly help in cleaning up old messages I'm not interested in keeping around.
I know this is a necrobump, but the thread is stickied. I think it would be nice if there were 2 options for the website. One would be a remember me button and the other would be a button to delete all notifications. (That yellow number near Community.)
