This is where the 3rd installment of the PMMCT took place, where the greatest Mega Man Character ever [at least, for now], was decided on by you, the people of Prototype.
There was 96 characters this time around, too.
Here's how it went down: In each battle, I posted pairs of characters, and the people of Prototype voted for their favorite character in each pair. Not who they thought would WIN that fight, but, which one they liked more than the other. VOTERS HAD TO HAVE VOTED IN ALL BATTLES THAT TOOK PLACE IN THAT ROUND, OR THEIR ENTIRE VOTE WAS NULL AND VOID.
Voters could edit their votes as much as they wanted, but, after 11:59 PM, all votes were final. The winners of each battle advanced to the next round. In the case of any ties, your truly made the deciding vote, like I always did, and, of course, I barred myself from voting, otherwise, like I always did.
The 12 characters that won their divisions faced off against each other in the Grand Division, the final Division of the Tournament, where they did battle against each other. The winner of THAT Division won the title of "Greatest MM Character Of All Time [at least, for now]".
If there are any questions, please post them either in here, PM me here on Prototype, or look for me in the Prototype Chat; I'm usually there every day.

Oke, I really love Sunstar. His design is cool, he leads a group of super-powerful space robot and one of them is a cat, and that name sounds cool too! Sun - Star. Okey so maybe it sounds really silly when you think of it thou. It's like Cat - Feline
Anyway, Sunstar may be kinda cool, but is he Higsby cool? Not. At. All. Is Zero Higsby cool? Look again Is Higsby himself Higsby cool? huh
Sunstar. Let me give some people some insight on the situation.
In MMV, Terra may be the leaser of the stardroids, but that doesn't make him the final boss, even though he can be a bit though with him using Spark Chaser and freezing you with those three orbs. However, PLOT TWIST, Wily was behind the whole thing.
You then go through a stage that has rematches with the killers and Quint, then astardroid rematch. You then fight Wily's Brain Crusher robot, but even after you beat Wily, it's STILL not over, as he reveals the ancient superweapon itself, Sunstar, who proceeds to upstage wily himself. The fight is also pretty cool, with there being 3 stages and everything doing a mere 1 damage to him, even a charged Mega Arm shot. At the end of the fight, he has 1 hp, and Mega Man offers to get him fixed, but Sunstar's fusion Reator goes critical, and Sunstar demands that Mega Man leave the Wily Star so Mega Man doesn't get blown up.
Pretty cool stuff right there, even if you don't get a weapon from him.
Sunstar by a longshot. I have to agree with what Rotom said, but I STILL would've voted for Sunstar if he didn't say anything. Sunstar, again, is a destructive doomsday weapon from space whose explosion destroyed the Death Wily Star. And if that's not convincing enough for me... Well, there's the fact that I am not familiar with Higsby, and thus see no reason to vote for him. In fact, how Higsby surpassed Zero is beyond me.
Well, we have Sunstar, a literal weapon of death who's explosion takes out the Death IMEAN WILY Star. He fires ANCIENT EGYPTIAN LASERS OF DEATH AND DESTRUCTION AND DOOM among other things. His design is cool, and the fight with him is one of my favorite final bosses in video games.
As much as I loved Mega Man World V, Sunstar simply had bad timing to be put into a game on the GameBoy. I mean, he could have been so much more, but limitations are only as they're. Higsby wasn't made to be cool, and therein lies his impeccable charm. His odd verbal ticks and clumsy personality altogether make for a very lovable character. Much more than Sunstar, anyway. Actually, Sunstar is really cool, but only if you've read the comics (which I didn't the first time I fought him). So if you hadn't read the comics and are fighting Sunstar, it feels like a villain just came out of nowhere. Very flat and not very interesting. I'm sorry, but Sunstar has a bad rap with me.

No contest.
Division 12 Final: Higsby vs. Sunstar (6-2)
and with that, we have our best of the best. The creme de la creme. the 12 characters who were able to best all opposition in their Divisions to arrive at this point. Only one will remain standing, and it'll all be decided on by your vote, with never-before-tried finale to finish it all off. It's time for.....

Megaman.exe (Sorry Boss!) Cut Man (KUNG FU CUTMAN) Proto Man (Look to your left) Enker (I prefer his design and abilites over Sigma's (though this was the closest imo)) Vile (I prefer his abilities over Ballade) Sunstar (Sunstar >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Ring Man)
Megaman.EXE, actually. Pharaoh Man. An endless stream of puns aren't the same as an Egyptian ruler. Proto Mang. *begins to whistle* Sigma. Enker's cool, but Sigma is really powerful and incredibly resilient (hey kinda like wahwie). If I was Mega Man X, there would come a point where I would start to completely lose hope just because Sigma kept coming back and threatening the world time and time again, no matter how many times I beat him. Vile. There's just something about Vile I enjoy as a character over Ballade. SCREW YOU GUYS I'M GOIN' RING MAN
Quick Man. He is THE LAW! Cut Man because we need that Cuts Corner support going on. Gemini Man. Gotta lend HIM support, too. Only... So that he wouldn't barge in here again. Sigma. Enker's a good leader and all, but did Enker threaten the world with a better Roboenza? I think not. Ballade. Can Vile transform? I don't think so. Sunstar. Is RING MAN a Doomsday Robot of Destruction? ...I think you know where this is going.
Quickman .one of my favorite RMs Cutman .not just because cuts corner but also i like him more then Pharaoh for a wierd reason i dont know Gemini .again one of my favorite RMs , and i am not a kid anymore (when i was a kid he was my favorite Robot for kids reason Sigma .Same as Beta , and he have cannon story that is not me and my guys want to kill main character Vile .have you ever played Maverick Hunter X Sunstar .
Quick Man (Law, obviously) Cut Man Gemini Man (Because, I figured i'd vote for the more underrated choice) Enker (Sigma's kewl and all, but I dunno) Vile (Sorry Ballade, you're good and all, but I'd rather choose vile) Sunstar
Quick Man, just because of previously stated bad experience with BN series reasons. Pharaoh Man's way cooler. Proto Man. He's more... What's the word... Cool? Enker, just because of the Mega Man 10 remake of his level which I love. Ballade. Best Mega Man Killer hands-down, for his story importance was epic too. Sigma was overdone by the 5th X game. Sunstar, just because I saw the Ring Man episode of the Ruby-Spears cartoon.

and the results of the single biggest battle in PMMCT history, so far iiiiis.....
The Grand Division, Round 1: Quick Man vs. MegaMan.exe (6-3) Cut Man vs. Pharaoh Man (6-3) Gemini Man vs. Proto Man (5-4) Enker vs. Sigma (6-3) Ballade vs. Vile (5-4) Ring Man vs. Sunstar (7-2)
All right. We now have our setup for the penultimate round of the 3rd Prototype Mega Man Character Tournament, and better yet, with Proto Man out, we'll have a new champion, for sure. These may be TOUGH, but, I know you all can do it.
The Grand Division, Round 2 [Over at 11:59 PM, EST, 4/25/2017]: Quick Man vs. Cut Man Gemini Man vs. Enker Vile vs. Sunstar
