Hi, you might know me as Protoeon. Inspired by the PMMCT, I created the Classic Mega World Tournament. For nominations, you can have up to 20 votes per user. For charcters, only the Classic and World Series is allowed. So, only characters (meaning all robot masters, enemies, and main characters) that appeared in Mega Man 1-11, Powered Up, Mega Man and Bass, the World Series, and MMRPG newcomers Disco and Rhythm (thanks Yoshi2018 (Time Man)) are allowed entry. The tournament will start once at least 150 votes (meaning at least 8 prototype users) are in. I will see you once it starts! The tournament began! Let's do this! Votes are counted every day at 7am. If a lack of voters, the tournament won't go on until a certain number is reached. Current Round: Sector 2 Round 2 Voters Waiting until next round starts: 2 remain Ruleset Update Dec. 13 by ThatOneEnder.

Hmm... Only two voters. While Flash Man took down Splash Woman in a flawless win (2-0) Centaur Man and Slash Man need a tiebreaker! Only 1 vote needed to break it. The winner will face Flash Man in Round 3 and the winner of the Round will be the first to join the Quarterfinals.

Thanks to T Monkey Flash Man will be the First Quarterfinalist. Flash Man: Yes! My light shines brightly tonight! Sector 2 Round 1 It's a 8 bit Wily Machine battle! No. 1 vs No. 2 No. 3 vs No. 4 No. 5 vs No. 6 No. 9 vs No. 10 Votes are starting, so get to it!
Hey so I have been following this thread and man; This is bad.
First off, you wonder why you haven't been getting enough votes, yet well, one, you are running it right during the peak of another far bigger popularity tournament by a person people actually know and has done more content like this. Not to mention more care and effort is put into formatting to make it look better. From day 1 of Mike's tournament, there were near to none obvious issues with the way it was run. From day 1 of this thread, there were a ton of issues with the way it was run and things that just didn't make sense what so ever in there. You have tons of examples of rules and groundwork provided from the other threads, yet you don't use any of them and just use the bare minimum amount of effort.
Second, your management of this effectively killed any chance of this being a success. Ignoring the fact you thought to make a thread with nearly the same idea as a much more popular popularity contest, just its only the mega man classic characters, and during the peak of said contest, so people are going to be more focused on that one, your advertising and the way you have tried to manage this was just...poor. You double posted, gave your own vote to the contest (which you, as the host, you NEVER do) and gave not enough effort to improving the quality to the contest. You have given plenty of blatant, bizarre advertising, whether it be ultimately locked thread individually requesting people to vote, which, personally, just gave me more reason to not vote, or it being the desperate attempts given in the more popular thread. These attempts didn't help. At all. The second main problem with your management, aside from general laziness in all this, the tournament itself... Jeez. It is not great. Why are we currently voting on Wily Machines? No one voted for the Wily Machines, my dude. This is a vote for something no one voted for and you wonder why you aren't getting many votes at all?? Why are you making an arbitrary minimum amount of votes things, at all, when you clearly know that you are getting many votes at all, so you should just work with what you are given and not desperately hope that you get more votes from your advertising attempts? When we were getting our initial 20 votes in for who should be in the tournament, why did you just make it so people can vote 30 all a sudden, just because one person messed up and gave 30 votes, just because you want to be "generous"? You have to set boundaries, and not move those boundaries. If one crosses this cleanly set line, you don't move the line to be nice, you have to be hard and say no.
As for the other problems with this, were anything randomized, at all? This wily machine battle is 1 versus 2, 3 versus 4, and so on, no randomization, nothing. It needs randomization to prevent certain issues, as of course Wily Machine 3 is going to lose to 4, but if it randomly got against No. 1, a just a meh tier wily machine, it might have a better chance. However, when it is just put up against the next number machine, it has a lower chance of winning. Second, I know you probably think you are being super clever and funny or whatever with the little character win thing there, but it unintentionally creates bias once the final round comes around. A "haha, that character had a better win thing back a few rounds ago, I'm voting for him over the over the other guy, who had a lamer one" thing could happen. This type of psychological thing is something that needs to be thought about and can easily be fixed by a quite simple lack of this type of thing. I know it sounds incredibly stupid and I agree but not being clever is more clever than being clever. Or something. Unless your thing you are adding to your thing truly is a good quality of life change in some way, then it is better to just... Not do the thing, is what I'm trying to say.
Last thing of note, I want to make sure if nothing else sticks from this mess of an essay, you at least get this; Please, for the love of all that is holy, put effort into this, and put care into this if you actually want attention and voters on the same scale as PMMCT. Don't lazily throw a thing like this together, just because you saw how this thing got big, and so maybe you'll too. And also, finally, if you want to advertise this, don't do it here. Do it on Discord. Forums are a dying medium when it comes down to it. The PMMCT advertising on Discord has reminded me to vote on there FAR more than checking this forum has, whether or be that I check Discord more than forums like this or what not.
Anyway; No. 4, No. 6 And hopefully next round we can get a randomized round of things people actually voted for so maybe in the long run people will continue to vote? Hopefully you at least took one note here or there from all this and hopefully strive to improve for next time, if there will be one?

@ThatOneEnder : Thanks for the hints. 1. TheGuyNamedMikey votes in the tiebreakers, and I only get involved if necessary. 2. Discord? I will try... 3. The third Sector will be of the randomized rounds. 4. I knew that my rules weren't specific at first, but you helped! So, Sector 2 Round 3: No. 4 vs No. 9 I know barely any of you will vote, but next round things will changed! New Discord Server: CMWT Server
