This mineral quarry was where Drill Man went to work on excavating precious minerals, not to mention hosting his encounter against Mega Man. Due to the intense tenebrosity, electrical switches were installed to illuminate the dark cave; not much electricity can be allocated elsewhere, however, so the excavation has to be left entirely to drilling robotics and explosives. Luckily, the Drill Moles can tunnel through solid bedrock with a fair amount of independent power. Robot Masters like Drill Man and Ground Man help out tremendously in this regard as well, but as they're not expendable, it's of the utmost importance they remain steadfast in their decision-making.
